I have just been ringing round local parts dealers for a service kit and some oil for my FFRR TD6.

Nothing wrong with Comma oils, I have the 5W-40 fully synthetic in mine. |

Check out what Opie Oils (on the forum) can do you for. IIRC 10 litres for £58 last time out.

I would like to flush, but what does one use to flush with, a different type of oil? I wouldn't do it every time but think it might be worth it every 25K or so? .

I use Unipart 5W40 fully synthetic, i believe it to be re-badged Fuchs TITAN Supersyn. It meets all BMW, VW & Audi specs and at around £20 for 5 litres why use anything else. |

I'm never convinced of flushing, it could loosen a well stuck but of sludge and then clog the filter bit by bit or even worse, the pump if it was bad enough... |

Regular oil changes will eliminate the need for flushing |

The oil for a4.4 TDV8 is 5w-30 but meeting specification WSS-M2C934-B, no one seems to have such oil, is this LR being clever. letters not necessarily in the right order |
