United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Java Black
little mods

i been busy with the beast again fellas, a few light touches that made the world of difference. first i painted the outer knackerd door handles and one clam as it was scratched.

then i decided rather than paying the rediculous price for some piano black trim i thought i would do it myself, heres the inner door handle surround i painted.

i also updated to the mk4 satnav and mats 2010 range rover splash screen

all in all a productive week i think, just got to do the other door handle surrounds now and the other grey plastic bits. should keep me out off trouble for a while.

Looking GREAT!

How easy/ difficult was it to get a decent piano black finish? I'd really like to do mine, do you have other original piano black trim, and if so can you see the difference?

I like the way your car looks with the facelift! Good job with the door handles too, I just got covers for mine which are colour coded. Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

i havnt got any origanal piano black to compare it too so cant comment on comparing them, they look nice and shiney to me though so im pretty chuffed. to be honest i sprayed them with java black paint i had left after spraying the 2010 front bumper and grill, i thought if its good enough for landrover to use on the outside its definatly good enough for the plastic on the inside. Laughing i got the added bonus of a nice metalic specle if you look close at the paint so considered it an upgrade to piano flat black. Whistle

Looks great with the handles, are they easy to remove? Mind you i not great at paint spraying to impatient, probably better if i bought new handles, anyone know if they are avaible in Java black?

The internal panels look good and as you say they want a fortune for them. If only if you could get dark walnut spray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the tips are bought of ebay, the rest i made from stainless steel tube. i got to put a box back in somewhere though because its a bit to loud at the mo, straight through front to rear, i even took the cats out. sounds nice for a while but soon get on your nerves. heres a pic of the under neith,

i dont know if you can buy the handle in black, i know you can buy the covers for them in black. if you cant spray best bet would be to buy a new set of handle and get them painted at a shop, the handle are around 45 quid for a set i think. easy to fit, only took me a couple of hours to fit the lot.
