13 Driver\'s side microswitch control arm "repaired" – 1378 viewsFixes to folding mirror operation:
1. Double press the fold button or make mirros lock out or
2. Remove fuses 11 & 24. Lock car and wait til it shuts down. Unlock car. replace fuses and turn on iginition. Operate mirror button twice leaving an interval of 15 seconds between each press.
3. Remove fuses 11 & 24, press mirror button, replace one of the fuses, press mirror button, replace other fuse and operate mirro button again
4. With mirror apart, fiddle with shape of microswitch control arm until it work

11 Driver\'s side microswitch without control arm! – 1409 viewsOn the drivers side I found what I hope is my problem. The control arm had become trapped in the cam for the motor, and parted company with the microswitch. by moving the mirror housing about I was able to release the control arm, then I bent it back into a reasonable shape and refitted it to the micorswitch

14 Ring cover will probably have lots of broken lugs – 1590 viewsThe outer ring has loads of lugs on it, and a lot of these seem to have broken off. This doesn't seem to affect the refixing in anyway.

08 Pull Microswitch holder back from mirror housing – 1674 viewsOnce you have the clip down pull the holder back towards you. It will either simply slide back or fight you. The microswitch is on two lugs so should easily come away from the holder, unless it is tightly bound on with spiders web !

07 Lever the microswitch holder clip down gently – 2037 viewsYou'll see the microswitch holder next to the mirror motor. You have to release the little clip to the outside of the holder just underneath it. I hope you can see my trusty kitchen knife in place levernig it down. The plastic is quite bendy, but be gentle with it.
