United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue

Ah, there is a mix of cars, from looking at the posters on this thread, but Joe90 has a 2002 model, according to his signature ;

Range Rover 2002 TD6 HSE Alveston Red, Sand Leather

So he could use Navcoder ?

I know he'd have to get a lead and the registered software, but for less than £45 he could change his light settings to his hearts content....

Amongst all the other things he'd have access to.............

Cheers

I have navcoder Very Happy

Not played with the DRL function, didn't see an option to make the fogs work as DRL's though which was the object of the exercise, but might be tempted to get the main beams running at 50% as well (can I do both at the same time Question ) .

Am struggling to find 50 ohm resistors - don't know what I am looking for exactly. Most on ebay seem to be for GHD hair straighteners - don't need that as mine are working OK Smile

Sorry to be a dunce Rolling Eyes .

Hopefully final dunce question, do I need one resistor for each lamp?

and also

Had a poke about in the engine bay to find the wiring which all seems buried under the headlight or down in the bowels behind the bumper. Where did you tap in to the wiring, and is there a straight forward live ignition feed and a headlight feed there together somewhere? .

What's the advantage of DLRs over the normal lights - are they actually brighter?
Because I was thinking if it's good for the front, it must be good for the back - so just have your lights on all the time.

I bet I'm missing something, like I am with all the effort, time and cost that goes in to changing normal bulbs to LEDs - although I did do my pathetic sidelights Very Happy Geoff

Not expecting them to be any brighter, but definitely whiter !

Using the little drl dongle I don't have to think about switching anything on they'll just come on when I start the car (like an old Volvo Wink) As mentioned in a previous post, I could use Navcoder to get the headlights to do drl, but that's no fun Smile

You do have a point about rear lights though. In the recent fog I have seen many bozos coming in my rear view mirror with just their fancy drls on, then once they pass me, they just disappear into the fog !

I think its a man/car thing, proper drls are only at the front, so you have to make yours do the same Smile .
