Anybody come across this when I slow down I can hear a whining noise that sounds like tyre noise but i doubt that is the case at between 5-10 mph any ideas.
I am running on 22 inch rims but I don't remember it making this noise when they were fitted.

Could be a bearing.

Check there's no crap lodged in between the disc and pad. TDV8 HST Sport **Current**

Either that or the car is crying out for 19's or 20's to be put back on ............

Hello Mick didn't realize that was you thought I would let you know my seat n steering wheel have started working again but only intermittent still I thought I would check the large plug under the seat only dif that made was to cause my airbag light to stay on this poxy cars beggining to get painful now besssstard !!!!

Perhaps don't unplug things that aren't meant to be unplugged?

I find if I adjust the steering wheel manually it spends the next two days acting up. But then sorts itself out. It's something to do with the memory and it doesn't know where it's supposed to go. Can be caused by low battery voltage (along with everything else) and also leaving the A/C off which causes a build up of moisture on electrical components....

Hi Saxrom , forgot about your troubles with the steering column, sure i read somewhere about that airbag light fault tho will have to get back to you on that when i find it .....  ====================================

The RR has Climate Control, rather than Air Con. It's designed to be constantly left on as it dehumidifies the air. When you get steamed up windows that condensation is on every surface in the car. Including electrical connections, coupled with electrical current you get fur growing on components. When we're talking micro switches and micro switch sensors (used to tell the steering wheel ECU what position the SW is actually in) you can see why this could cause an issue.

On the P38 leaving the A/C off would cause the headlining to sag after about 3 months, and would cause the BECM to die after a year or so....

It's not a fault with the air bag. If you unplug the air bag module (or the side bag, or in this case the seat belt pretensioner) whilst the battery is connected it will instantly register a fault with the system (as it's always "armed"). This can only be reset by the dealer.

I usually find if you slap her she will stop whining - doesn't work on the mother in law though  Currently running FFRR MY10 TDV8 3.6L and a Disco 3 XS Commercial (tank like but very effective as a Company van). Plus one mint condition Track Day Car in the form of an E36 M3 3.2L Evolution circa June 1996 with lots of go faster bits and only 52k miles on the clock! Oh, plus a few bits to make it slow down really quickly as well! Luvverly.
