Discs and Pads

Hi Dan,

I wonder if you could quote me please for Discs and Pads all round for a 54 plate Vogue (TD6 if it matters)

I'd quite like some "vented/slotted/drilled/grooved" (or whatever they are) discs if possible but won't worry if they are V expensive or not available for mine.

MOT advisory on Fronts so happy if you could let me know Front and Rear seperately. Will I also need sensors or anything else. I don't have TPMS (at least I don't think I have)

Many Thanks
Ash Ash

You shouldn't need sensors if the ones on your vehicle haven't been activated

Thanks All

Geniune price would be good as well to see the difference. Thanks Dan.

Do I really need performance discs (I assume the EBC one are given the price)??

Thanks Ash

There may be a very good reason for this but why would one pay over £100 for EBC disks when you can get these (link) for £80 odd.

Just a question.. Ash

I would imagine because EBC is a brand we have heard of. 'Quality parts' could mean anything Whistle

I'd pay more to avoid the cheapest brake parts possible....

Agreed but to revisit a definition I have used before:

Quality = meets customer requirements

A cheaper solid brake disc may not give the braking performance, but may be less likely to cause problems (cracks etc) than a cheaper drilled and grooved disc. I could pay £40 a pair and they last me 2 years, £140 a pair and they could only last five minutes (or vice versa). No guarantee on these things given the job they have to do.

It's each to their own on this one.... Sheep .

I had all this with my Td6 - don't bother with the poser nonsense, just get the Genuine LR parts !
You're asking the right man - Dan - top service.
ps ref the sensor - buy it anyway because it may become damaged when changing other components - they're only about 12 quid !

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

How much for a genuine set then please Dan?!? Do you do deals in the combo as I know normally pads are replaced more but as its my first time replacing brake parts like others on here, I do the lot and then I know they are done for a while and next time will just need pads Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Cheers Dan Smile

What's the Disc Damage then and are their 'kits' available or 'sets' including both discs and pads?
