They won't be cat'd they will just go back to the factory for repair! not registered so not insured but they will likely claim a large loss against them due to a failed delivery and one looks like a D4 or RRS... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Surely they would be insured by the transport/recovery company...

On the insurance, sometimes big companies don't insure that sort of stuff. They look at the statistical change of this happening, look at the cost of insurance versus the cost of fixing the problem. For example the Dutch army has no insurance on their vehicles as the cost would be much higher than the odd repair (bearing in mind that a lot of driving is in column and with military police clearing the roads).

In this case I would not be surprised if JLR doesn't insure their cars during transport as the chance of this going wrong (especially like this !!) seems quite small to me. Anyway, it is going to cost someone (JLR, insurance company of the transporter or JLR) a fair bit of money to repair all of this. Not to mention the driver who may end up losing his job (and then going on benefits so all of you are paying as well Smile). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Oh for sure JLR wont carry insurance for this but i was expecting for the haulage or recovery firm to be responsible for the losses...

My local main agent has an excess of £100,000 so therefore if they loose a car through accident or theft they are basically not covered... Ouch!!! Shocked
