Its a top of the range range with special edition front and rear bumper, exhausts (i think) and interior touches. Cam tech Craig or Gaz Eliott is the man to ask.

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover SE Td6 Zermatt Silver

Land Rover has launched the ‘Ultimate’ Range Rover – the Autobiography Black 40th Anniversary – a Limited Edition to celebrate Range Rover’s 40th Birthday.

Fortunately, Land Rover has decided that they won’t stick a badge on the back of this new Limited Edition Range Rover which says ‘Range Rover Autobiography Black 40th Anniversary Limited Edition’. Because even the not exactly small Range Rover isn’t big enough to carry a badge of that size off with any degree of aplomb. So the badges – dotted around inside and out – simply say ‘Autobiography Black’. Just as well, really.
In case you’ve been asleep this last few weeks – or just not paying attention – it’s 40 years this last week since the first Range Rover launched and the world got a car that could plug mud and still dress for dinner. So Land Rover celebrated that by sticking a 4.4 litre TDV8 in the 2011 Range Rover and offering up the Limited Edition Autobiography Black.
The Autobiography Black is – according to Land Rover – “…the very best Range Rover has to offer and is a fitting tribute to a vehicle which has consistently set the highest standards for all-terrain performance, luxury and design for the last 40 years.”
So as you’d expect you get thrown at it whatever there is left to muster to titivate an already incredibly highly-specced car. There’s the bespoke paint job in Barolo Black; 20″ diamond turned alloys; different grill (with Titan mesh); bespoke side vents; body-coloured door handles and of course the required ‘Autobiography Black’ badges.
Inside you get Jet, Jet and Ivory or Jet and Pimento leather; Grand Black veneer; illuminated sill tread plates with ‘Range Rover’ on them (couldn’t they run to bespoke ’Autobiography Black’ sills here to be consistent?) and ‘Autobiography Black’ embossed hither and thither.
A comprehensive cosmetic titivate for an already higly specced car. The Autobiography Black will be available with either the new 4.4 litre TDV8 or the 5.0 litre Supercharged lump. And it actually is a limited edition, with just 700 being built.
Or thereabouts, anyway.
