Robbing :censored:

Due to other commitments I won't be able to fly out to Spain next week as I was planning on going for a few weeks holiday with the Wife , Daughters , and Granddaughter .

So I thought I would just arrange for the Wife's sister to go with them , so went onto Ryanair's website to change my name to hers and they charge £110 Shocked Shocked Just for changing a friggin name .....

I will never fly with them again after my past experiences with them.
Its true what they say, you only get what you pay for.
After reading recently that they are only just putting enough fuel in and no more says it all

I won't fly with them, and I avoid budget if I can. I know it's only me rather than also wives/daughters/etc, but I'd just much rather pay a little more and be treated like a human being.

I think when you add up all the stupid charges you don't save anything anyway.

Seems you're not alone.

Never knew they were that bad Shocked Shocked we have used them for about 4 year or so flying approx 14 flights a year and never had any problems with them ....

Mainly use them coz they are handy and have decent flight times

But this is the first time we have had to change a name and find out the charges for doing so Rolling Eyes

But as you say when all added up they are not so Budget Airlines as they try to make out ====================================

After checking to book a ticket would have been £240 , just didn't think it would have been so pricey for just a change of name ====================================

That's how they make most of their money - it's either people changing their plans or being incapable of reading the baggage allowances before getting to the airport.

It's not just Ryanair either - I reckon BA would be over £50 and on some ticket types no changes at all are allowed !

I don't fly Ryanair much, but fly EasyJet a lot - I quite enjoy the comedy of someone getting to the gate with a big bag and then getting all upset that they're getting charged.

My personal favorite is women who just can't comprehend that their handbag counts as a bag - and you're only allowed 1 bag.

My problem with Ryanair is their website and how long it takes to book and then check in online. Never seen anything like it. If you have the patience you can fly for peanuts though.

We recently used them to fly family skiing to Salzburg and apart from the queues at Stanstead it all went like clockwork we were even able to pre-book the first two rows of the aircraft for our group (unheard of) Surprised

they tried to charge me excess bagage for taking the same case home that i flew out with, with the same luggage inside, i was working not buying tourist cr@p.
anyway the jist is that i could pay for the excess bagage and stay where i was in the queue or join the back and try again with less in my bag, so i put on my safety shoes from my bag and put my trainers in the case and joinded a different queue, surprisingly enough i was 3kg under on the other queues scales.

i'd rather walk than fly ryanair
