Seems to be something about being 48 and owning an FF so I will admit to that then. Also got a BMW R 1150GS, a 1966 Triumph Vitesse Six and a 1970 Triumph Vitesse Convertible. The Six I took off the road 30 years ago for a 6 week rebuild and it's nearly finished Laughing . The Convertible was the first Vitesse I went to buy and didn't till 8-ish years later but it needs a rebuild and is hopefully still in my sons garage.
Past Land Rovers are a 1985 110 County V8 and a 1996 300 TDi Discovery. Being 6ft5 the FF is the first RR I could fit comfortably in which is unfortunately what my credit card fits nicely in as well.

Sounds a bit like my house - a 20 year rolling project!.

It appears I’m in the upper half of the age bracket at 48!

Mind you, I have the blood pressure of a 20 year old …oh but the back of a 79 year old… so an average of …erm ah that’s 48! Shocked

Aircraft Designer by profession and I have mixed thoughts about the FFRR so far from a design perspective…just when I’m marvelling at a particular aspect I see another that has been ruined by poor design, budget or programme pressures! C’est la vie !
Still… they’re great to drive and it hasn’t gone wrong this week!! (to be fair its pretty good really!) ...Always time for a brew !!

Hmmm!

There must be something about FFRR's and mid-life crisises, I'm 48 as well!!

Mind you, I had my first RR Classis 1973 K reg back when I was 26, then went to a 1974 Series Land Rover, 2ltr Short Wheelbase a few years later. Got back into Landys with a 300TDi, 1998 R Reg about three years ago.

Always hankered after a L322 FFRR though and fulfilled my dream last year with a 2005 model TD6. Also got a Mondeo ST220, 3 ltr V6, 56 Reg that I've owned from new, as well as a Kawasaki ZX6R, 2001 Y Reg.

Love the FFRR now, so given the Mondy to the SWMBO (not that she's complaining!!).

Workwise, I'm a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Contractor not staff, as it's the only way to go) working in the Nuclear Industry, in Cumbria.

Hit the half century last year, so looks like I'm part of the dominant age group on the forum so far!! Also run my other pride and joy, a Lotus Carlton (desperately need a TEC1 diagnostic unit - not a cheap Chinese copy - with the Lotus cartridge, so if anyone knows anyone or has one for loadn/sale , PM me). I've worked for one of the major Banks in the IT division since I left 6th form college 33yrs ago and wouldn't work anywhere else. Steve

Not purchased yet but compared to some of the ages and jobs on here I clearly "should have listened harder at school" Laughing

38 (just).....range rover purchase in the next few weeks....a host of fast fords, caterham, large german saloons, 3 discoveries, 2 alfa's, a volvo, a frontera and a Honda Jazz...

I am a technical director for an engineering business Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

I am clearly one old geezer on this forum, I have retired so I get cheap train fares, have a bus pass BUT I have been into computers since the seventies and I think this age survey is skewed towards those who use the Internet rather than those who own Range Rovers. Very Happy

Oh and every day is a holiday so I just go for a drive any day of the week for fun Rolling with laughter Geoff
