30% rise!

Last June, my insurance cost £257 for the Golf Tdi fully comp. This year, its £330. I haven't claimed, & nothing's changed - just a rise in insurance. Thats nearly £80 or just over 30%. By comparison, the FFRR is £350 currently.

God knows what the FFRR will jump to, come October/renewal time. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Apparently, due to the claim culture we have now and another rise in people putting in whiplash claims the average policy has gone up between 20% and 25%.

We had four whiplash claims against one of the work vehicles. There was only one guy in the car at the time of the accident and it was a light frontal as he was pushing through a priority the wrong way.
When the claim came in all the family were in the car... Rolling Eyes

Just shows why it's getting out of control.

Last year in total we had four real claims and five fake ones.
First time fakes ones have outnumbered the real ones.

Can beat that.

Last year (July 2009) Insurance was £259 on my FFRR, to renewal quote just came in £574, that's @ 110% increase Big Cry

However, deals are still out there - confused.com for @ £250 (OK, I have a huge excess to keep costs down) .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink
