Goodwood 2010 Land Rover Stand

Went to Goodwood yesterday and must say the LR stand was a bit disappointing.

Audi Merc BMW Jaguar Porsche etc had gone to a bit more effort. Not well staffed either!

I know they dont need to sell a great product but i still think one shouldnt be complacent Wink

I thought it was good stand. There was a Classic and a P38 to compliment the new stuff. We spent a while chatting to one of the guys about the 2010 RR (very impressed with the leather headlining Very Happy ) and did some reminiscing inside the 110.
The stand iteslef wasn't massive but all the new cars were on display to play around with and I prefer it that way - less corporate gubbins and promo girls eating into the budget.

Don't forget the Driving Experience wagons doing their thing over by the helipad area, too. Not sure you should be reading this bit.

Doh Embarassed Forgot about the LRE bit as done it so many times i didnt bother so yeah that was great but i meant the stand display itself and staffing levels. Maybe if the LRE bit was done next to the stand it would have stood out more? The Classic was a nice touch but i felt there should have been more than one of each vehicle and a lot more staff to chat and receive people. It just felt obvious and little effort.

Audi had the biggest stand with lots of models and variants bits on Eco technolgy, new technology, car discected, various merchandise, accesories, history, lots of staff etc. Maybe my experience was just bad luck timing. I am not saying bigger is better but at least make it look like it was thought out. It was more like a very small dealership than a manufacturer supporting its dealers and brand IMHO anaway. I didnt go to Goodwood to just see a LR stand but felt dissappointed when i did thats all.
