Another Windscreen Heating Question

Hi all,

I've searched forum but couldn't find anything on this. When switching on the windscreen heater (if frost on the screen), do people find that a small vertical section right in the middle of the windscreen stays misted/frosted for a bit longer than the rest and then eventually clears up?

Could this be due to the heating elements working from outside in or have I got a faulty element in the middle?

forgot to mention that this is the second windscreen on the car, the first being replaced due to stone chips so if this is not normal, could be that the heating elements not connected properly MY11 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - "African Queen"

Mine only clears on the passenger side. I'm told there are two fuses- one for each side. Anyone confirm this?

The heating element is in two parts and they dont quite meet in the middle. Perfectly normal. Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

If you look very closely from the inside you can see the element nes in the screen... You will also see there is one or two missing in the middle hence your question... Thumbs Up

Thanks Craig. Took a look this morning and see what you mean. Should have looked more closely.

On a separate note I know I'm due to call you and will do so soon once I've got my timings sorted. MY11 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - "African Queen"
