Aux is ok, but not being a fan of cables it does mean a lead badly hidden, then you need to use the smaller ipod screen to choose a track, and you need a power supply too....it's all a bit non-RR for me, in my A8 it's a simple plug and play - and up on the screen so that's how I'd like it.

I am seriously considering Dan's prices now tbh...

Anyone recommend a fitter in the north west ? Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Rosco Thumbs Up Aux is fine in many cases but I am wanting full integration and as am keeping the FF for a while I can justify it. I am ready to place an order with Jack & Vera's on monday when Dan is back in, though I am in need of someone with the correct gadget or gizmo to plug in and update the software or do whatevere is needed.... Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

I just fitted mine in 2 hours.

For a numpty like me it's not a bad job. The fitting instructions are basic and a bit hard to follow however with some time and patience I haveit up and running.

I am pleased at the price Dan quoted me but wouldn't be over the moon at the original £800 rrp

There is no facilty to scroll through the ipod, you must make playlists but apart from that I am very happy Thumbs Up Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Hi

I've spent most of the day trying to do this and I've hit a wall - my glovebox is shut and will not open Sad I ended removing it completely (as you say the instructions aren't clear and I thought this is what you have to do). Plugging it back has no effect and the top one, which was working, is also not opening. Bum. I also can't get my keys to resync, which may or may not be related.

I appreciate this probably isn't the right place to post this but I though I'd ask here as you've done the recently Smile

Shocked

I disconnected the battery with the glove box open and then put a small screwdriver in the clasp to prevent it closing. I too removed the whole unit, as per instruction and found it was pretty easy. The only preventing me was the on and off rain which hampered me a bit. Could the battery be low ?

if you want to pm me I am happy to have a phone call with you and explain it ? Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Thanks the offer, I'll take you up on that later today - I have many child related things to do today so I can't play with the car until they're asleep Smile

The battery is brand new and I took it out for a 45 minute drive last night and there's no change. I'm wondering if it's a security issue related to my keys not syncing any more. I'm also wondering if I need to have the glovebox connected before powering on the car (I haven't tried this yet). I think I'll try a hard reset at some point today and see how that goes. It's really frustrating, the only bit left to do is to run the wires out from the glovebox.......well, that and attempting to reassemble it!

Thanks for your reply Smile
