United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Tonga Green

not just me then! I managed to run my classic out of fuel a few years back and it rolled to a stop whilst going through a very narrow gate way. Couldnt get front or back doors open, had to climb out the sunroof!! Learned my lesson!

PS the lesson is always take the sunroof option when buying a car!! Not sure I would fit through one these days! 2003 VW Golf V6 4motion

I wont risk it on any of my fleet getting too low, been there with the 90 many years ago, not good when you are in the middle of nowhere and run out of fuel, its a long drive in a mates RR to a petrol station!
With the FF I fill up to the brim when the light comes on....mind when our 110 shows the light on shes empty and your on borrowed time! If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Running out in a diesel can do a lot of damage to the high pressure pump, even though it has a safety built in to shut down cylinders & supposedly shut the engine down before it runs dry in the FF. I would never risk it though as a bill for a couple of grand over something as stupid as running out strikes me as plain daft. Worse things happen at sea! Well thats what swmbo said when WRENS came to sea!!!
