500 mile round trip @ 16mpg

well we went up to the lakes for a few days, towing for the first time, effortless to say the least, 500 miles all in at an average of 16mpg, did have it up to just over 17 on the motorway, took it steady on the way up, but was a bit quicker on the way home which dropped it a bit, all in all happy thou

Glad to hear Thumbs Up

We are off to Scotland end of next month, looking forward to towing the van (for the first time) with the FF, last time we toured Scotland I had a TD5 Defender 110 - 2000 miles in a fortnight was interesting, to say the least Very Happy 2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)

I got our TD6 up to 32mpg on the M5 with a Swift Conqueror on the back. Had to use cruise control at 52mph but I did it!

We've only got an ACE award Tristar, but with the AJV8, even running on LPG, doubt I'm going to see anywhere near those figures Bow down 2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)

I was doing 60mph/ 16mpg on the way up, and 65/ 14.5mpg on the way home, not bad from a 4,4 v8 I suppose, caravan is prob 1550kg although you can hardly feel it on the back

correct steve, cc site at Coniston, first time there for us, roads are quite interesting on the last streach to say the least, brought the traffic to a standstill on the way home when we met a lorry coming the other way lol 2003 ffrr v8 vogue

I agree, the last ten or so miles towing are quite "interesting!"
Never really got used to the width of the roads in the two weeks we were there.

Some nice tight squeezes and steep drops and climbs over the Hardnott and other passes.

England 2009 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Santorini Black

Went to Norfolk with our twin axle Swift Conqueror for Easter weekend and averaged 21.5 mpg at 60 - 65 mph on the motorways and dual carriageways and not hanging about out of roundabouts etc so very pleased
