How much would you pay for an L322?

This ongoing thread in the L405 section has got me thinking:
http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic24887.html

What's the most that someone would actually pay for the later model L322?

Thumbs Up

Well to give you an idea for an early model, Land Rover just valued my Jan 2005 (54) plate TD6 as a px against a new RR(S) at £3000. Granted it's 118K but otherwise its in really good condition. I would hate to think how much a later model would be valued by them.

It depends if you prefer the look of the L322 or the L405.
I know a few people who ordered a brand new L322 as soon as the official pictures of the L405 came out.
Demand for late model L322's is still high I've been told!

Thanks.

There are some large differences in price with 'nearly new' L322.

On Autotrader UK there are well spec'd 2011/2012 4.4TDV8 L322 with under 30k miles, advertised for sale at £46 to £47k and there are newer L322 with low miles being advertised for sale in the high £60k.

2011 - under £47k

2013 - Touching £67k

There are differences in spec, the 2013 white one has done under 10k miles, newer cars are worth a lot more than older ones etc etc and before dealer negotiation the 2013 will come with a longer warranty, however £67k for "the old shape" (even if you prefer it to the L405) seems like an awful lot of money when you could probably get a used L405 for similar money and particularly when you can get an L322 that has done not many more miles and only a year or so older for approx £20k less.

I appreciate there will be better informed and very good counter arguments (apples and pears); and that some might say my comparisons are too sweeping/ not detailed enough although to me at least, the sub £50k L322 appears to represent better value for money.

Thumbs Up
