TV Tuner (again, I know) installation

Assuming I ever acquire the hybrid tuner, do I need to do anything other than swap the plugs over - such as disconnecting the battery?

Do please pardon my stupidity... Embarassed

Not sure about disconnecting battery but would advise that you wait for all of the units in the boot to shut down before unplugging any of them

It should be a straight swap for the old analogue unit. There's a couple of threads about mounting the new hybrid unit, as some people prefer to keep the old analogue units in place. They use velcro to fix the new unit alongside the old one. I removed the old analogue unit (it can be a bit faffly to remove the brackets to get the old kit out) and refitted the new hybrid unit in its place. Don't need to disconnect battery, but do leave all the electronics to 'go to sleep', just to be on the safe side.
Also, make sure that you're in an area of good digital signal when you first fire the hybrid unit up, otherwise you may think it's not working (like I did, till I drove a mile up the road and then it worked perfectly!!)

Just remember to get the right tv nybrid unit, check the threads for the correct Tuner unit codes, e.g. AH42 19C063...etc. Thumbs Up
