No DVD player in boot???

Hi chaps,
on my2012 4.4 TDV8 RR, on the driver side of the central touch screen there is a physical rotaty button which has "DVD" written on it( the rotary power on button is on the left hand side of the screen), but on the touch sceen menu, there is no "TV/DVD" option, only has "TV", and there is no DVD player inside the lefthand of luggage area!!! (on the Vehicle details from dealer there is one item called: "uro Mapping DVD Disc" - is this regards to the Sat Nav not DVD?)

how come there is DVD button but no DVD player in the boots? is that the previous owner took it out or something else?

many thanks in advance.

Regards

Henry.

Yep, the button is standard but the DVD player isn't. Mine has the button as well (2010) but no player Sad

Same for the SatNav, which is harddrive based and I'm trying to find out if Blackbox does map updates (since I have the Faultmate and that should allow me to update the maps). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Many thanks for the reply, if the button is there and there is no DVD player, then, what does the button do? When I press it, I can hear a "beep" sound and nothing happens.
Regards
Henry

It makes a beep sound and nothing happens Very Happy sorry, couldn't resist...

Can you not retro fit a DVD player and link it into the system ?

I think it can be retro fit, but for me, no point really, as I only have a few DVD and I could just download to ipad and use in the car is a much easy and better option- bigger and muh better screen.
As long as I can confirm it's an optional option and not because the dealer or pre owner took it out,I'm ok.

And what exactly does that "Euro Map DVD" in the car detail mean?

Regards
Henry.
