Very ingenious idiots. Fun to watch, but ridiculously dangerous. I had no idea the rc helicopters were so accomplished. There must have been some recoil, but it shrugged it right off.

I think no recoil with rockets.

Just bought the model above, the Phanton vision 2+. Great fun and a really stable camera even in the wind. Still learning and finding good places to fly but going to be taking trips into the Peak District when the weather improves. They are a really clever piece of kit, if it's say 500 Mtrs away and you lose sight you just switch off the controller and it will tell you on you smart phone screen that it's coming home and it rises to 60ft and comes back to land within a metre of its take off point. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20
I swear you will never see anything like this ever again....watch it..drink it in.

I'd love a DJI PV+2 but way too expensive at the moment

Embarassed I'm not an expert and I wasn't sure what they were using. Thx. Nice to learn something new.

Possibly a slight flaw with that particular model, this is a customer review from Amazon.

Quote,

If I was to write a review just after buying this I would be like most other reveiws I would be singing it's praises. Its easy to fly and takes interesting fairly nice photos and video.
However it has one design flaw that is likely to occur to most users sooner or later. The gimabal axis is just not strong enough, it a round rod in a round hole with very little purchase. If you have a little (I do mean tiny) bump or land on rough ground its very likely you will break the gimbal.
Even if you don't crash it can still break. Fairly unbeleivable for something flying this high the camera can pop of in flight. Try typing the DJI Phantom 2 Vision Gimbal. You will see lots of people with this issue. You may even see people showing you inside the gimbal. The issue can first manaferst as lopsided gimbal or gimbal dance.

If it your camera pops of you are looking at a complete replacement around £500- £600. Don't expect this to be warranty(although you may have more luck via Amazon). In my case I caught signs early and got local dealer to fix for small charge.
Still the design means its fairly likely to happen again. The phantom itself is interesting but my advice is do NOT get this gimbal. If you do get take to a dealer and speak to him as he may be able to strengthen for a small fee. You really don't want bits of metal falling from this height.
