has anyone fitted a heated steering wheel in place of a non heated steering wheel before and for it it work what was involved, new switches?! clock spring?!

you will need to change your slip ring as this has the connection to carry the 12v for the heater, but you may have the right slip ring on there now..look at the connectors. you should have a 2 pin plug on the left of the slip ring

you need the following items, obviously heated steering wheel, left hand switch pack, rotary coupler and a relay which plugs in the back of the fuse board in the glove box ... - .- -.

just thought i would mention, the heated wheel has a module, not sure if this comes with the wheel, dan check the price of a 2010/12 slip ring as i was told while the cars are still with in 3 years old the parts are cheaper due to warranty issues,i think they still use the same slip ring... V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Hi, I have purchased a heated steering wheel (1) for my 2012 L322 which originally came without heated steering.
The wheel came with the ECU (2), then I purchased the new rotary coupler (3) with pins for heated, and the new switch kit (4) for the steering including the steering heat button.
Now I still feel I`m missing something, namely a piece of wire connecting the switch module (from the 4th connection of the switch module, what is now empty) to the loose end (blue/green/yellow) wire coming from ECU.
I indicated with red on the pic.
Please if anybody have any knowledge, put me into the right direction.
Moreover Dan, could you quote a price for that piece of wire?
