Seatbelt issue

My seatbelt isn't retracting to well on the driver side. Only recently started feeling slack....any ideas/fix ? Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Nick A, take the B pillar trim off and see if the little silver strip that the seatbelt runs behind mucky? (rear sometimes gets sticky or corroded) stopping the seatbelt from sliding Thumbs Up

Or B, simply replace as the springs do get weak with time... (top tip), but a 2009> one as they are quite a lot cheaper and identical to the 2007-2009 seatbelt sir Thumbs Up

I was just reading your post about replacing and cleaning as the labour involved isn't worth doubling the job...think will strip and clean + order a 2009>

As always Thumbs Up Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Nick, worth noting that the silver slider thingy Rolling Eyes Whistle that holds the belt (with two torxs bolts) turns around (incase it has corrosion on the rear) Thumbs Up

Sorry to hijack the the thread, but not totally unrelated.

My drivers side front seat belt adjuster blocks started squeaking a bit. The only single noise inside an otherwise silent cabin, had it apart and liberally applied silicon spray, but still doing it.

Any suggestions Craig? Or just replace?

Cheers,

Resurrecting and old thread, but can anyone confirm if any special precautions are required for a 2011 MY with regard to the airbag in the B pillar?

Do you just disconnect the battery or are there 87 hoops to jump through? Rolling Eyes

Reason I ask is my driver's belt is both lazy and starting to fray so a replacement is on the cards.

Thanks. Bish.
