Front pdc

As an ex-D3 owner and current FFRR owner, I note that the front pdc on the latter does not automatically engage at low speed as it did on the disco.

Does anyone know whether this functionality can be activated by the dealer?

Paul

Have it switched on when you set your personal memory settings at the side of your chair , failing that maybe your PDC settings are set incorrectly , just a matter of using one of the sub menus on the touch screen to put these right .....

Hi Paul !
System operation is cancelled when the parking aid switch is pressed or the ignition is switched off. System operation is also cancelled if the vehicle travels more than 50 m (164 ft) or forward speed exceeds 19 mph (30 km/h). Dealer can not change that (i think!)

Speedymarktd6, this is how it works on mine. But on the D3 the pdc (front and rear) came on automatically if the vehicle speed dropped to about 5mph. I just wondered if it could be set to come on by default at this speed? Neutral

Paul

By the way, what's all this about sub-menus? I don't have a sub-menu that relates to pdc? Question

The mode of function differs from RR to D3 ! On new D3 (MY09?) that mode it’s same as RR.

My 2004 MY D3 also had auto front PDC but it was altered in Disco about 2 Model years ago. The reason given was that people were complaining that in traffic jams the pdc was alarming all the time and had to be switched off, didnt bother me as I thought that it was the better system . Only problem is that since getting the FFRR SWMBOforgets to switch it on when forward parking and has had some near misses ah well whats a few marks on the front bumper!!!
