Coolant loss but no leak

Ok, I keep getting check coolant level on my dash even though I've just topped up and bled the cooling system. I've pressure tested the system using a Blue Point kit and the gauge does not budge. I've also done a gas test to detect combustion gases and that's coming back clear also.
The car is fine for a day or so then I get the message appear and the coolant level has dropped. With no obvious leak, no drop in pressure using a tester, what else could it be?

Bleed screw not making a proper seal?

Tried putting a new rubber o-ring on it or wrapping plumbers white PTFE tape around the bleed screw thread?

I thought I'd pass on what little I've learned along the way.
Is there any dried coolant around the header tank cap? Mine was weeping here due the the threads on the cap being cracked.
Is there any evidence of dried / wet coolant under the header tank on or around the wing? The connectors underneath can fail too along withy the coolant sensor seal.
Sometimes the expansion header tanks crack slightly and weep coolant too.
The lower corner of the rad is prone to rusting and leaking just enough to lose coolant but most of it evaporates coz of the heat there.

Hope this might help.

As I said, I've pressure tested it and the dial doesn't budge. At the same time, I can't see anything spraying anywhere. When I was on the spanners some years ago, I used pressure testers a lot. If there was so much as a pin hole anywhere, it would be very obvious very quickly. Sometimes, that pin hole under pressure would get a lot worse and gush out.
I also did a combustion gas test which came back clear. There is no sludge in the engine oil either so I'm confident there is no coolant going into the bores

Have you tried placing a large square of cardboard under the engine, and running it for a bout 20mins, after a run, and then allowing a cool down, the few spots in the cardboard could tell you the place to be looking more closely.

In my last TD6 i always had the 'check coolant level' after a long fast run. naturally I did, and the cold levels were always where they should be.

Sounds to me like a pressure related anomaly and not sign of anything nasty. 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

I have a similar unsolved coolant loss (but not as bad as yours Noddy, @ 1pt a week, 300 miles driving, but no coolant loss bong)

No signs anywhere of leakage, newish rad, newish top up tank.

I think it may be from @ the thermostat housing, I was never happy with the refit of the pipes to it.

We did discuss a while back the coolant sensor in the tank, this can be replaced in-situ without drain down, but this issue may be the "site glass" inside the coolant tank which is clouded over. CTC was going to cut an old coolant tank open to verify, but he's a busy boy Thumbs Up However, this doesn't help with coolant loss. .

No sure if the cooling system layout is the same but I had a leak at the back of the engine above the bell housing. There was a very small leak on one of the hoses from the head where they join with a Y jct. It evaportates before it has chance to drip anywhere.
