Autologic Remap TDV8 ?

Greetings

Just picked up my TDV8 on Saturday, took it to my local LR indy last night to get the driveway locking initialised.

Been using him for years and he offered me an Autologic remap for cost price. Think he knows he'll be getting more money out of me now I have the FFRR

I had a BAS remap on my old D3, was very happy with it and liked the fact I could use the interface box. Wasn't thinking about getting the TDv8 done, but when offered a decent deal it's making me think about it.

Is anyone running a TDV8 with an Autologic remap as I'm wondering about realistic benefits in BHP and fuel savings (if any).

i'd run yours for a few months and see if you really need a remap as if you have one done now you wont know the difference between standard and remap.. ... - .- -.

i was looking at lots of options and Autologic came into the equation, so would also be interested to hear how people get on with one. Cheers

BAS are the market leaders... Be very careful with mapping the TDV8 as they can smoke like pigs if not done correctly!

i didnt know BAS were tdv8 market leaders, from on here JE Eng were looking more favourable from what i have seen.

i have one of Petes remaps on another vehicle, very happy with it too. also had a JE on a td5 and Autologic on a td5 hence undecided. Cheers

James

Autologic maps are "safe" maps. Done quite a few TDV8s with no issues.

There are others out there, who will give you bigger gains

Check around my friend... Many on here have used BAS... I would not use anyone else on a 3.6 Bow down

Well, had the TDV8 for a few weeks. Just done a 1000 mile trip from Devon - Norfolk - Oxford - London - Devon over Xmas.

Have now stopped comparing it to my old D3 with BAS ramap (and have got used to park sensors / heating being different).

Am aware of the same delay the D3 used to have when slowing down at a junction/roundabout and putting my foot down again.

Having had Pete's remap box in my old D3 that got rid of the lag whilst giving me a couple of extra MPG, and after a good look on here, I think I'll have to get over the offer of a cheaper remap and go for the BAS option.

I use the Bluefin remap on mine. My main reason for doing it was to soften the blow of moving "down" from the SC. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey
