Reckoned I should post a bit of an update / some thoughts having spent more time in the car.

Did over a thousand miles this weekend on our regular London to Glasgow and back trips. We've lived in London 5 years so its a journey I have made dozens of times in all sorts of vehicles ranging from the boring, to the ridiculous (track prep'd lotuses) and I have to say the RR was outstanding. Last time I did it was in the G500 and the range was about £100 less each way in fuel which was a bonus Laughing

The weather was rubbish, snow / sleet etc and it just sat on cruise at 80 and smashed it off easily. When we were home there were a few inches of snow and the place ground to a halt; obviously it was a doddle and my wife drove around in the snow feeling safe and it was not an issue.

Haven't found a cheaper set of deployable sidestep brackets yet so that remains unfixed and the spare tyre pressure monitor message pops up every 2-3minutes despite fitting a brand new sensor but other than that it was awesome for the journey. 10/10.

Nice looking motor! Thumbs Up

I've got the seat repair kit to sort mine out but it's a bit cold do to it just now.

As far as the TPMS system goes, most people get themselves an IIDTool and turn the bloody thing off! Thumbs Up Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Check the spare tyre pressure?....As a general observation, it has to be considerably higher than the fitted wheels to prevent a warning....

And I agree...get an IID tool to switch the b Censored y useless system off anyway ( plus lots of other fun changes and tweaks)

I used to have my spare tyre at the highest recommended tyre pressure (heaviest load) on the table inside the doorpost and that worked fine for me. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

+1...manual says " pressure for spare tyre should be set at the highest value given for your vehicles wheel /tyre size (when in the spare wheel well) and adjusted after fitment" ( to the running pressure) GONE 2010 Facelifted 3.6 TDV8 - Stornoway Grey + 22" Overfinch Olympus

That may well do the trick then, as I think the spare wheel is currently at about 35psi not the 60 it says in the door jamb. Will try that tomorrow.

Now, any cunning ideas on the sidestep brackets before I suck it up and order them at almost £400 for the pair I'm all ears Laughing
