I am reading conflicting information regarding EU tyre labelling. Some sources state that all tyres; summer, winter, all season, etc. are tested in the same conditions, and others state the tyres are tested in their appropriate temperature ranges for the EU label of rolling resistance, wet performance, and noise.
I am contemplating fitting Continental Conti Winter Contact TS850 tyres, whose label is C,C for wear and wet performance, which if the label is to be believed, should be similar to a summer tyre.
I am also considering Pirelli Scorpion Zeros, which are about £100 a set cheaper, but not as good in winter.
I am covering around 15,000 miles a year. 255/50/20 on a MY2012 4.4 TDV8.
Any input welcome.
