Ipod adapter, how to get behind most cd player?

Hello folks,

i'm planning to buy this adapter for ipod http://trioma.ru/products/usb/skif-volvo.shtml as
what i have searched is one of a few possibilities to get full ipod integration in an MY06.

I had contact with the supplier and with shipping to austria this thing will cost euro 160,- incl usb adapter.
sounds good, so it will provide usb and ipod.

the idea behind this box is that its in the most chain before the cd player and if a usb is attached it will disable the cd unit
und emulates the cd changer. sounds quite interesting! price is without competition (if i get the parcel Very Happy).

the other thing is the installation. as we have just a few car hifi shops here i will do it on my own.
so can someone tell me if its hard to install this box behind the cd player?
where to get ignition plus and minus from?

THANKS

If you need a switched Accessory power feed, you can plug in to fuse 7 in the glovebox, but make sure that you have a fuse in the unit or fit an inline fuse. If memory serves me correct it's the top hole that's the switched live, so that should be the one that you want, but if it doesn't work plug it in the bottom hole ! there's a 50% chance that I'm wrong Wink
Oh and test it all before you put it all back together again Wink otherwise you might find yourself taking the Censored glovebox out again Laughing Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

If this thing works, I think they'd see a string of orders from the forum members!

Thanks, Clemenz. That's an interesting read.

Still curious about ease of installation and price.
