If the screen is good, why not just get a price from Autoglass to come and take it out and re fit it properly.

What does the screen say in the bottom passenger corner? If it says land rover chances are it is an original screen, if it says pilkington or something else then it is a replacement. Pilks make the LR screen and the quality is the same.

If it is original and your car is that new, I would get on to your local LR dealer and LR customer service and try to get them to pay for it to be fixed! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜œ

is it actually leaking from the screen?

water could be coming in from the sunroof and via the famous capillary action and presenting itself at the front screen.. ... - .- -.

With a the trim/roof panels etc intact, water runs down from the top of the mirror fixing to the windscreen (& collecting in the plastic cowl around the bottom of the mirror). It's LR screen, never been replaced from new. When I managed to get the trim etc removed everything was as dry as a bone. Even a hose over the car couldn't replicate. My next try at the weekend is the drain tubes off the sunroof.

Just picked up on this thread, we've got a 2003 4.4 petrol and we've got a leak on the front screen, the inside A pillar trim gets damp at the bottom edge and we are getting some water dripping above the brake pedal. The screen has a crack in the lower edge from a stone hit (funny though the outer screen is unmarked, but the crack and impact seems to be from the inside outwards! This crack has now spread across 50% of the screen but not in the line of vision. We've been onto auto glass for a replacement, hoping this will solve the leakage problems, also the seal at the bottom of the screen when pulled back is full of dirt and crap.

Auto glass say they will come out to replace the screen on site, but would it be better to take it to the depot to have it replaced in workshop environment rather than on my driveway, considering the monsoon summer we are having!

I would say get it replaced at home. You're supposed to leave the car to stand for a few hours/overnight to let he adhesive set. Driving it will twist and vibrate the body slightly. If you have it done at home it'll just sit on your drive/street without moving. If you take it to their 'workshop' (basically just a warehouse), then you'll have to get it home some how.

I would keep an eye on the fitter though, in case they break anything, and ensure they don't scratch the paint on the windscreen frame when they remove the old one.

Thanks for the advice, we're looking at getting a waterproof car cover temporarily to try and keep it dry inside as the earliest they can do it is the 25 of this month.

Anyone managed to sort it out?
Water getting into cabin and dripping under dash to the bonnet release handle and on. Few days ago cleaned the drains with warm water- all good. No water in the cabin even after few hours. Checked also the drains that are under cabin pollen filter- good. Drains under wipers- good. No water in cabin right after nor after few hours later.
Even with light rain water starts to drip into cabin.
Would it help to removie inside trim.

Edit: new windshield and problem gone. Cabin is much more quite now, there was also a lot of wind noise which was caused by loose windshield.
