IID Tool for 2011MY

I had a iid tool for 2006 vogue so I know roughly what it can do. I know the above has just been released only in Bluetooth version. What new customisations can it do that are cool/handy?

Can it turn on the sidelights as DRLs?

I have searched the forum can't find answer for this model iidtool

TIA Thumbs Up

Lolo, if you mean your LED sidelights then NO you cannot turn them on as DRL's using the IID... You can however turn ON canadian type DRL (which means your inner full beam halogens will run at 40% of their brightness as a DRL Thumbs Up

Hi Lolo,
Unfortunately this is one of those items that LR elected not to offer as an option. As we've previously mentioned, the CCF options in the IIDTool are not freely programmed by us - we only provide access to options that LR has programmed into the various ECUs. These options are not accessible by any means other than a diagnostic system. We do offer as much as we can - if it has been proven to actually work. In some cases this is more than the LR OEM diagnostic systems offers because the option activation procedure was not programmed into the diagnostic system (did I explain that ok? Smile ). But we are still not quite free to offer anything we can think of. Razz

Patrick and I talked about you - we saw your thread. Nice RR Thumbs Up . Shoot us a mail if you are interested in updating the IIDTool. Unfortunately you will have to go to bluetooth hardware. It doesn't show in the pretty pic below, but the image flickers because LR did not finish the cluster SW to the point where 'external' images can be properly displayed. This is why you do not have nav info, etc in your cluster like the L405 RR (which still has the same cluster HW, btw). So you'll have to use an IIDTool BT.

The DRL options in the 2010> L322 are available in the BCM. You have the option of Canadian or Swedish DRLs.

Thank you for that explanation. I had a feeling the drl wasn't an option but somewhere on the forum somebody mentioned the faultmate could enable it. The Bluetooth version is definitely more desirable but bit pricier. I'll be investing in one soon though.

Thanks again Thumbs Up

If you are going to be modifying the wiring to make lights come on as DRLs, you can do the side LEDs as well... Razz

That was me then Whistle

Yes the faultmate does turn on the side lights as DRL's on a 2010MY+ via the CCF (well it has on mine!)

If the IID tool can change the DRL options in the CCF in the same way as a faultmate MSV-2 then I see no reason why the same wouldn't apply. Steve can you confirm?

Regarding the TFT display if the HW is the same then I very much look forward to experimenting with 2013+ software to see if the 2010 display can be updated to a 2013 appearance! Cool

just updated by IId tool BT version for 2011 MY - checking that adaptive lights where identified as being there ( which they were )
the updated app for android is magic miles easier than the previous version - well done GAP Thumbs Up
noticed that with the new app the option to turn drl's had appeared ( that in addition to Canadian & Scandinavian DRL's )
turned it on and front halo lights are now on as drl's - nothing on the rear though

only thing that worried me is that handbook says AFS deactivated when:-

• Daylight running lamps are on.

but as the AFS are not working Big Cry not a worry for the moment

I've turned on my DRL the halo lights, with no lights on at the rear. When I turn on my lights on they do turn when I turn the steering wheel. And the cornering lights come on too.
