Good evening all


Can anyone recommend a Range Rover garage in or around Kent. I have used Maidstone Ashford and Canterbury and have had nothing but problems with these garages. To the point that one garage done more damage then fixing to my 57 Range Rover supercharged vogue. I pay for extended warranty on my car so I am stuck with mail dealers.

I heard that Guy Salmon in Aylesford are OK....expensive, but OK.

If you can use an Indy, RCV at East Peckham are good. Did servicing and repairs on my previous 2006 S/C, not at silly main agent prices.

If you venture over the border to East Sussex, there's an Indy LR specialist in St Leonards on Sea. Not used them but they are ex LR franchise technicians.

BTW, I have always had excellent service from Barretts Land Rover in Ashford. One of the reasons I have gone back to a RR.

Thank you. We have had a few problems with Ashford. Canterbury and especially aylesford. I'm starting to think it's me. Perhaps because I'm female and they think I know nothing about my car. We are stuck with main garages as I still have Range Rover warranty on my car. But I'm tired of garages telling me I need parts when clearly I dont. I would travel to Manchester if I knew my car was being looked after properly.

A little blast down the A13 into Brentwood lives a great Indy.

Talk to Angela on the service reception at Barretts Ashford, she is excellent at her job and won't mess you around. She is one of the longest serving staff members -highly recommended - tell her that Roy sent you!

"Our technicians are Land Rover trained which means your warranty is fully protected"...... and service book stamped - all whilst saving you up to 40% on main dealer.

Read the warranty paper work carefully. You can get it serviced at any VAT registered garage so long as they use genuine parts. It was part of the EU block exemption rules, which exempt motor manufacturers from certain parts of competition law.

My Jaguar Warranty (which should be identical to the LR as they're the same firm) said exactly that. I still used Barrett's at Ashford though, excellent service and fair pricing.
