Which Off Road tyres?

Hello,

I'm looking for new tyres for my L322.

I'm considering.

Goodyear Wranglers.

BF GoodRich All Terrians.

General Grabber AT/ AT2.

What do people here recommend? I do some off-road driving along with a-lot of on road. What ever I get it needs to be hard wearing. Also what sizes do you guys recommend?

Cheers.

England 2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

I've got 275/65/18 General Grabber AT2's on mine, they are 32" tall so 3" bigger than most standard sizes, they "just" fit with a minor mod to the rear wheel arch where the petrol filler pipe runs, they make the speedo about spot on...

They are excellent in all road conditions, very good off road and pretty quiet too, much quieter than the MTR's I did have, they seem to be pretty strong as well as lots of off roading and no damage yet.... Done about 7,000 miles so far and they aren't showing any sign of wear...

I recon they are better than the BFG's I used to run on a Disco...

I have Goodyear Duratracs on mine in 255/55/19.

Very happy with them offroad. Excellent grip. They aren't nearly as noisy or uncomfortable as mud terrains.

I have these as my spare set.. 255 50 20 grabber AT standard size etc.

they are quiet on roads, and have about 10mm from new. they do 'spin up' a little pulling away in wet etc. (a little)

I was pleased with Goodyear Duratrac 255/55 r19 last winter, worked well on snow and ice and on farm tracks and fields, slightly less good on mud than Goodyear MT/Rs and also softer. Braking distances, handling, noise, fuel consumption on road less good than original Continentals (these are on 20" summer wheels), but perfectly acceptable for general driving and much better for road use than the MT/Rs.
