Canada 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Causeway Grey

Hi Guys

Quote:
have sent a mail to Patrick... tool this from their site
Haven`t received it, via our website or to our e-mail address?

Here`s our VIN license policy from firmware V3.0:

Standard diagnostic functions (free of charge, all supported vehicles for the IIDTool BT and Pro, same vehicle type only for regular non BT units*)
• Faults read / clear (All ECU’s)
• Live values
• Control outputs
• Service / test functions (service interval reset (oil service), electronic parking brake functions etc)

Enhanced diagnostic functions (BT and non BT are VIN locked, tool comes with one license, additional license DA6407 at 60 GBP ish, Pro is fully unlocked):
• ECU Flash
• Component and system calibration (including suspension height adjustments, when air suspension is fitted to the vehicle)
• Car Configuration File editing capability (for example, activate the reverse screen after retrofitting the rear camera)
• Advanced functions including backup / restore, save profiles – vehicle system settings and
configurations are read and stored as a backup file for a restore function, various changes
to systems (e.g. suspension height) can be stored and changed quickly

*In other words:

A regular IIDTool will only work on the vehicle type it was designed for. For example, a DA6400 will only work on a Range Rover 2002-2005.

An IIDTool BT will work on any supported vehicles. This is the list at the current time:

• Land Rover Defender L316 2007-2015
• Land Rover Discovery 3/LR3 L319
• Land Rover Discovery 4/LR4 L319
• Land Rover Freelander 2/LR2 L359
• Range Rover Evoque L538
• Range Rover L322 2002-2005 up to 5A999999
• Range Rover L322 2006-2009 from 6A000001
• Range Rover L322 2010-2012 from AA000001
• Range Rover L405 2013 and up
• Range Rover Sport L320 2005-2009
• Range Rover Sport L320 2010-2013
• Range Rover Sport L494 2014 and up

Same coverage for the Pro but fully unlocked (enhanced functions).

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Mariana Black

Thanks Patrick,

It was PM I sent in the end.

So I think I was right - If he purchases a new VIN license, he should be able to use the full features of my IID tool on his 54 Plate Disco as well as on my 10 Plate RR.

This is because it's the newer IID BT

Thanks again

I just saw that Ash had sent me a PM - sorry for the late reply again, Ash.

One more time more and a bit more simply:

If you have an IIDTool BT you can do "standard diagnostics" (fault read / clear, live values, etc) on all LR we cover (all now except the early models: P38, D2, TD5 Def). For "enhanced diagnostics" (CCF, EAS Calibration, etc - see our website) you'd need a new VIN license. As "standard diagnostics" is more or less every thing the Hawkeye or Lynx do, you basically have a Hawkeye / Lynx Pro for 1/3 the price with an IIDTool BT.

If you have a regular IIDTool you can only do standard diagnostics VIN free and enhanced w/a license on the same model as your IIDTool firmware: e.g. L322 2002-05 or 06-09 or 2010>. This is because the regular IIDTool has less memory and we can only load 1 firmware type.

For questions, etc: support @ gap-diagnostic dotcom . Goes much quicker than a PN here Razz

Cheers,
