Think the LL ones should have 950kg or higher on the back if any lower not load rated for the car and insurance could pick up on it if ever had a claim. Seen loads of the after market ones with weld repairs would not touch a welded up alloy more so on this weight car. Best check them mate to be on the safe side.
JUST MY THOUGHTS, plenty genuine wheels about at the right price Wink Better to be safe than sorry later

phoned the insurance company today to inform them that I have different wheels to when the car was first registered. They asked me if the wheels had Landrover on the centres and if so they consider them to be manufacturer wheels. A note has been put on my policy that im running 20 inch stormer wheels so all is good on that score , nothing to pay . If the car was stolen or write off they would not pay for additional wheels just standard one.

the wheels are date stamped 2012 so they have been on the car for a while and as they are not showing any adverse wear or cracks im happy to keep them .

re the sizing , apparently the 9inch rim needs a minimum tyre of 225 up to 285, so my 255's are fine

thanks to you guys for sowing the seed and making me pull on finger out with the insurance notification

Thumbs Up

That's good news then, and a bit more info for us all.

Interesting take on the wheel caps, as mine pop off and can be fitted to any wheel you like, pretty much.

I know what you mean about the centre caps , was surprised that was their definition as OE.

they actually said if I had not have told them about the wheels it would not be a problem, its a minor item and not performance related!

im with Esure
