who wants to see my old diff oil

car has done 80k miles and the rear diff oil is surprisingly good, ok its a bit dark but the viscosity is very similar to the new going in and does not appear to have visible water. Going to let it separate over a few weeks to see whats in it

Sump plug appears to be in good condition , small amount of sludge on the magnet . I soaked the sump plug with gt85 a few times over the week to ensure it went well today, still took some force to crack it open

manual says a wet refill should be 1.1 litres , I got 1.15 litres out so the level through its life appears not to have dropped .

Doesn't look to bad atol. I recon that yours might have been changed before especially as the level was slightly higher than it's supposed to be. I take it your car has the non locking diff then ? Range Rover Vogue 2006 4.4 AJV8 | Buckingham Blue | Parchment Leather | Supercharged Grill+Side Vents | CA02 HEY ( NOT 02 PLATE )

just the manual diff , maybe I got a little bit more out than normal as there was a bit of warmth in the diff due to me giving it a run first .

ive just drained the coolant and that has come out a real nice red colour with no rusty colour . the car has not got a great service record on paper but everything im touching has copper grease and in good condition,
