*** FRONT BRAKE HOSE RECALL ***

Brought the trusty steed in to my local dealer today to have the deployable side steps and dog guard fitted to be told that all FFRR's between 2006 and 2012 have been recalled due to front brake-hose issues (I'm guessing the same issue that hit North America earlier this year?), so she's staying put until tomorrow in order to have the hoses replaced Shocked FF MY2010 3.6 tdV8 VogueSE

Guys at my local dealer apparently had notice yesterday (in Ireland at least) and ordered in a load of replacement parts in anticipation - the work is done by LR at no cost, they were willing to do my one despite my not having yet received the official notification. FF MY2010 3.6 tdV8 VogueSE

Really? I just got it done and noticed absolutely no change. (Worked before. Works now.) of course, that doesn't mean it shouldn't be done. It should.

There was an increase response in the pedal to braking and the gap i was experiencing from pressing to engaging was scary…well either that or the brake fluid change? Im certain you known better sir.

Mine was done just over a week ago and I didn't really notice any difference, maybe a slightly more progressive braking action. Only Range Rovers since 1988

I had mine done about ten days ago. Can't say that you'd notice any difference in the braking.

At least the service book is up todate. Mind you I had to ask them to fill it in before I left with the vehicle.

Thanks for the tip.

Phoned my local dealer and mine is due 2008 model so booked in for 3rd August.

Read the links and Rej posted the recall link from VOSRA:

http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/se...nk&tx=

Mine seemed out of the VIN range but dealer says mine is needed so always worth checking.

Thanks again.

Andy

Booked mine in with Harwoods Basingstoke today, they seemed friendly and there's no charge for carrying out the P054 recall. The lady said it takes 1.5hrs to do.

Front brake hose recall

Just had letter this am from Land Rover re front brake hose asking me to contact my local dealer without delay to book the vehicle in for inspection.looks like the letters have started to go out now The worst thing about being retired is you miss out on all the bank holidays
