OK, quick update - I've put a deposit down on a year old V8 diesel AB. Very comprehensive spec and an ex Land Rover car (not an LR Experience car - I checked!)

I've not actually seen it yet, just a long video from the dealer, but subject to it being as described, I pick it up next week.

Can't wait!

Just on the subject of blinds, I see that the current brochure spec sheet shows "rear window powered sun blinds" as standard on all models. I don't know when that started. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Here's my thread on changing the fins - it's pretty straight forward - probably less hassle than changing the wheels.....

Just picked up my L405 from Harwoods in Tonbridge. The car is a 12 month old V8 diesel Indus Silver with Atlas side vent (which I love!) and black leather interior / shadow walnut. It's an AB with just about every option I can think of, including leather headlining and 1700w music system.

The car is unbelievably awesome. I loved my L322 but the new car really is in another league. Even the queues on the M25 didn't bother me as the active cruise control made light work of it - I can't believe it actually brings the car to a halt when there is stationary traffic ahead!

Ride quality and overall refinement is way above what I've been used to in my old car, and of course my kids loved the RSE!

Thanks again for all the help from everyone who replied to this thread!

Big thumbs up to Harwoods - very professional handover. One thing I noticed though was that the rear number plate surround had a scratch around it - they are going to fix it, but I actually think that they themselves did it when swapping the number plate with their own Harwoods one. Annoying, but at least they will fix it without any inconvenience to myself.

Thumbs Up I like the Atlas contrast on a silver car, was just a bit too much for me against the black

I'm jealous that you got the 1700w system though - I couldn't find one anywhere near my price range when I was looking

Hi all - quick question, there doesn't seem to be an "eco" button on my L405? The instruction manual says it should be just by the ASL button, but it's not. Is it a newer feature that my car doesn't have?

Not that I'm particularly bothered, but I was expecting to have to turn it off every time I started the car!

EDIT: just searched around on the forum, and have established that it's not fitted to the V8, just the V6. So there you go!

I gather the MY16 SDV8 has the ECO button. MY23 D350 HSE
On my 7th RR plus various other JLR vehicles
