How to get windows out

Am changing my regulator on my rear offside window as the window has become jerky and will probably go soon.

Have got everything off including door card etc and the 2 lower bolts that attach the window to the regulator. But can't get the window low enough to get the upper bolt out (the glass is in the way)

Anyone got any guidance or experience doing this?

Thanks

when i did my front, i only had to undo the 2 lower bolts and then twist the glass at an angle to get it out..should be the same for the rear i think.. ... - .- -.

Stan, were the fronts that easy? I've got two to replace in mine, and I've been putting it off as I've not been able to read up on it. Any pointers would be helpful please

Right, still no joy on getting the rear offside glass window out. Have got it down to the bottom of the door as far as it will go but it rests on the wheel arch indentation and is still some 6" too high to access the upper bolt.

Is it a LR Dealer job only or does all the gibbons around the window space have to come Out to DIY?

Any help or steerage towards a guide/diagram would be fab

Ps have found the fault - it's a little restraining cap for the wire end which has cracked and is not holding the wire in - it is made of plastic for god's sake whilst everything else is metal! Evil or Very Mad
