Nightmare Peter Vardy

Well all I can say is take to Aberdeen dealer at your own risk!!!

Car bought from forum member with a new MOT (3 weeks old)

Car drive from Gatwick to north of Aberdeen in one go at 610 miles

Car only detected fault was in a very heavy rain storm during the drive a noisy drivers front bearing

Car had brake hose campaign outstanding

Dealer service manager wanting to make up for 5 myths grief on rejected RRS2 14.5 and redeem the garage for terrible experience. ( best intentions on Darren part)

Drove to dealer bank holiday Monday to check he had all the right parts in stock for recall and he accepted the bearing repair at the same time. All going well, I would arrive 7.45am the next day and wait on the car.

Arrived waited, expected about 1.30pm in my estimation, 4.30pm...... We have a problem we damaged your lower suspension arm when doing the bearing!!, we haven't start the brake hoses yet!!!!

Need car as they were advised to go to meeting the next morning at 8am😳🔫

They put car back together to get me mobile as they had no car available.

Agreed to take car back the next day about 12.30 to have outstanding work done.

Arrived and had coffee, 1pm service deputy advises they need my car all afternoon and want to get me a lift home.

The lies started at the point!!

4.30pm the mechanic himself phoned to enquire if I knew I had a damaged cv boot and that my alignment was miles out.

I stated after less than 48 hours before without incident I had driven 610 miles the damage reported was done by the other incompetent mechanic from Tuesday.

So defects now recorded

Lower suspension arm
Driveshaft CV joint boot, ( and they let me drive it with this!)
Both camber and tracking as the new arm and bolting got changed
The rear diff fill plug as they were ment to change the diff oils
Recall hose replacing and metal brake pipes as the broke them

Next day car had all front end repairs completed, but they then also broke the bonnet release cable Banging Head Banging Head Banging Head

So now asked on Friday for them to be allowed to keep the car so they can replace the broke cable and the damaged diff plugs!!!
agreed on the basis I get the car back as got a towbar waiting to fit so I can move my caravan before I go away overseas again!!!!!
Today get same mechanic thankfully, got bonnet cable fitted but wrong parts ordered for the Diff plugs!!!!! Even with have the car, the Reg, and the vin number on the car!!!
So yet another day with no courtesy car

Think a bill will be being sent to my locL paper for a nice story for them of how not to get a car fixed or serviced by this dealer

Little surprise that Vardy Senior sold out to Pendragon. It seems Junior has no more idea of how to succeed in the motor trade than his old man did. He's one of the 3 blokes I refuse to deal with in the motor world, the other 2 being Sytner and Lister.

More refreshingly the guy I deal with has moved from Stratstone to Lancasters (part of the Jardine group) and they seem very customer focused. Definitely a BS free zone.

Speechless, feel for the mechanic having to tell me they have screwed up again....... Current vehicles
