£600 odd to replace - good deal

Got a quote to replace upper and lower track control arms and lower ball joints on my L322 for £615.

Both sides

Sounds like a good deal? Garage is reputable

How much is parts and how much in labour?

the arms are about £40 for OEM (or £150 for LR gen) for the uppers and £60 for the larger lower arms OEM. per side plus the ball joints which go on the larger arms, all in probably could be done with OEM parts for £115 - £120 in parts per side plus labour.

leaves about £375 in that for labour, depending on their hourly rate, sounds about 4 hours. possibly a little bit steep, I'm sure someone in the trade will be along to say how long it should take. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I haven't got the quote sheet handy - I think labour worked out at around £200. I will check the quote sheet again when im home for full breakdown

I suppose you need to really ask if they're using genuine parts or just getting them from Eurocarparts, And is it just a general garage, main dealer or an independent specialist?

Lemforder / Delphi parts are OEM and are OK.

personally would only go with genuine or OEM. I have taken original parts off to find them stamped with Lemforder Logos Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Had this work often here in my garage, sometimes all around 2 hours, sometimes 5 hours, because of very difficult build out of the ball-Joints, very rusty! TDV8 4.4 from 2012, 278.000km like new + Lancia Flavia Coupe 1964 + RRS L494 3.0 SDV6 + C220CDI Convertible 2021
