Service menu on MY11 TDV8

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Trying to check the oil level on a TDV8 MY11 4.4.

Embarassed Embarrassingly, I can't see the dipstick.. The handbook says its all done via the service menu in the cab on the TFT - great, no need to get oiley.

The first thing it says is to switch on the ignition without starting the engine, and access the service menu - How do you do that? I cant get the ignition on without starting the engine, and the service menu is greyed out.

Many thanks,

Is it not a case of keeping feet off pedals and press start button to switch ignition on without starting engine

Yes, don't press the brake,

Puts the start button

Access the menu

To check the oil level the engine should be warm on the 4.4, it also won't display a reading if the engine hasn't sat for long enough after switching off.

So basically after a run park it up wait 10-15 mins then take the reading. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
