Surely Not

Re: an enquiry i made about a new FFRR , on telling the seller that i had seen one elsewhere he informed me to make sure it was definetly a Vogue , as there were some 4.4 TDV8 HSE's imported and dealers were selling these off at around the £64k mark .................... as a Vogue ......... Shocked

Find it strange to be informed of that , but you just never know ............ Whistle

Surely a legitimate dealer would by law have to tell you if it was an imported vehicle

That's what i thought John , but as i said you just never know , I remember a good few year back i bought a 3.0D FFRR and although not from a LR dealership but a known Dealership in the south side of Glasgow.

It was not until 7 month after i had it when i was going to P/EX it , I found out about it being an import ...... Rolling Eyes

Surely this has legal implications regarding insurance and grey import vehicles?

United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Corris Grey

It has massive implications in several areas as I found out about 8 years ago. I bought a Ferrari F355 from a main Ferrari dealer, genuine RHD etc etc. Bear in mind that Maranello UK specifically prohibit the main dealers from selling imported vehicles which have not gone through Maranello.

Anyway, drove it quite happily in ignorance of the facts for 18 months until I came to PX it against a Jag XKR Cab. Deal was done, cars swapped over until I got a call the following day informing me that the F355 was a grey import. Had be 1st registered in the middle east.

Anyway, I called the main dealer and they claimed ignorance (not an excuse in law) so a quick call to Maranello was all it took to get a full refund. I also called the insurance who stated that if they had discovered this at the time of any claim then they would not have paid out.

Never buy a vehicle before checking that the vehicle was declared new at 1st registration and also that the 1st reg was at a UK dealer.

Hero! Off topic I know, but I'd love a 355, I've been watching them come down in price over the last few years.

Please tell me you fitted Tubi's to it? 2006 Mercedes CLS
1991 Retro-style Mini
But really finding it hard to fight the urge for a S/C...
