Battery drain

Hi,

I know this topic has been covered to death put thought I'd post my own experience so if other owners search they will come across.

Long story short, pulling fuse 49 stopped the drain, the fault was water ingress in oen of the connectors on the DSP amp in the rear. No external visible signs of water and I don't know why just this plug was affected, still no idea where or how the water came from! The pins mainly effected were the permanent +12v and the ground pin! Pictures tell a thousand words:

Thumbs Up Well found that man Bow down

Unfortunately the sunroof is flawed in it's drainage design, and over a period of time it can dump a lot of water on the nav / tv / audio equipment in the boot. L/R's fix is to fit a bin liner over the top to deflect the water Shocked Bit low tech Laughing

You've obviously stumbled on another weak link in the chain, and it's one to note should our cars befall the same fate......... which some will........... Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
