^ you need to reset them, hold the lever up until the window is shut then keep hold for 5-10 seconds.

Stripped out the passenger front headlight on Saturday and fitted a replacement / spare igniter I had from my old damaged headlight (it got destroyed by a kamikaze pheasant!!). Replaced the Ballast unit with a spare one the weekend before, but the problem was still there, light flickering then going out at random. Now got fully working headlights, though the driver's side looks slightly duller, due to dust on the xenon lens cover.
Might have to strip that one down and clean it at the weekend. Whistle

Took the summer wheels/tyres out of the garage to clean them up and get them ready for fitting, only to find 3 of them deflated way down . . . long close look found 4 punctures across the three tyres. Sad One being an existing puncture repair, another being outwith the central tread area . . . bummer!

I explained to the missus about we would be needing new tyres . . . she wasn't pleased . . . especially as she hates the winter ones on at the moment so ifshe doesnt want new tyres, then she is stuck with the winter ones Rolling with laughter ! V8 or else ...

I knew I had a bit of a slow leak, which is why I was checking over the wheels. But they'll not be going on just yet as the wife came back saying she nearly binned the BMW into a wall this morning on the ice on the road . . . so the winters are staying for the moment. V8 or else ...

Thumbs Up I found a puncture last year on my summers - fortunately only 1 and it was repairable - I've not brought them out of hibernation yet this year.

Good luck sourcing some new tyres

Had it properly washed, clay-barred and waxed and whatever.

I'm too scared to take the thing into a car wash (do they even fit?) and I seem to miss great swathes of dirt when jet washing it, so I handed it over to a local detailer who worked his magic. I've just nicked these pics from his website.

Took it for a blast to see if it lowers at motorway speeds and it does ☺
But not at the 60mph that others say is in the handbook 😮

Mine seems to do it at about 65mph but that might be because of "more than 60mph for more than 30 seconds"

"The motorway height setting is activated
automatically when the electronic air
suspension system detects the vehicle being
driven at more than 60 mph (100 km/h), for
more than 30 seconds.
When the system detects that the vehicle speed
has fallen below 40 mph (70 km/h) for more
than one minute, the vehicle automatically rises
to the standard height setting. If the vehicle
comes to rest while still at motorway height, the
vehicle will not rise unnecessarily.
If the inhibit button is pressed while in
motorway height, the vehicle will not
automatically rise to standard height when the
vehicle speed falls. Motorway height will be
maintained until the inhibit switch is pressed
for a second time, when normal automatic
height adjustment is resumed.
Motorway height selection is fully automatic
and cannot be selected manually by the driver."

This would make more sense. Mine must be at the 160km/h as nothing changed at 60. I was beginning to think it wasn't working but now I know it is. That sort of sustained speed in a td6 isn't my idea of fun.
