The old and the new

Until tomorrow evening I am the proud owner of two FFRRs; my P38A and L322, both in VSE spec. I'llbe genuinely sad to see the P38 go but early 2002 seatbelt fixings and children don't mix.

I'm getting the L322 comprehensively looked over by a trusted specialist on Wednesday and a full paint correction and protection so I'll save more detailed pics for when that's been done. In the meantime, here's a shot of eight years of progress:-

Mr R,

I hope you have better luck with the electric steps than I did ( 4 broken brackets in 5 months and £700 down Laughing )

Yet still I look longingly at the classifieds...

It's been an interesting couple of weeks. The car was fully inspected by a LR dealer prior to delivery but I always send my cars to someone I trust before ferrying the wife and kids in them - a very sensible strategy as it turns out. The dealer had missed the excessive play in the ball joints that would've been an MOT fail. Most likely LR had it jacked on the wishbones so no play evident. Scary stuff!

Credit to the dealer though, he refunded the cost of the repair... Although I was hoping for a freebie in addition to say sorry for the mishap!

The car has been faultless and I keep finding new stuff - yesterday I noticed it was double glazed. I got my first forward alert today. Just need to sit down with the manual to try to work out what the heck else it can do!

Mr Kelly, good to see you're still forum-fit! Hope the wife and junior are well. Good spot on the side steps ... Fingers crossed!

Greg
