occasional warm start failure

on 3 occasions i've experienced my 2004 diesel turning over but not firing.
each time i have been on a run of of at least 5 miles.
if i leave it for 5 or 10 minutes it fires into life, i've changed the fuel filter agiain even though it had one 3000 miles ago.

has anyone had a similar problem?

cheers
steve

I would suggest that you have it plugged in to see if there are any faults.... I had a similar problem, but when mine didn't want to start, it would after a while, cough in to life.... turned out to be 2 injectors... but I had to leave mine for hours to get anything near normal starting, and when it all finally gave up, I had the worse misfire ever.... felt like clutch judder, only I don't have a clutch Shocked

If your car is not showing any faults then I'd be looking at the injectors.... but from what you have described, I'd be surprised if there wasn't a gremlin in the works and the ECU has recorded the fault Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
