The show was originally thought to be launching earlier this month, but it has now been confirmed that Top Gear will be back on our screens this Sunday, May 29.

And for the first time ever, Top Gear has earned itself a sister show. The spin-off, called Extra Gear, will be presented by another newbie, Rory Reid. It is set to bring lots of behind-the scenes content to your screen for the first time.

Nah, not for me Mick. I'd rather watch Songs of Praise than the ginger tw4t. That extra gear looks interesting though.

Filmed each week at the Top Gear studio immediately after the main show, Extra Gear will bring you half an hour of exclusive new footage, interviews, and specially recorded films. The show will be broadcast on BBC Three - via the live page or BBC iPlayer - right after Top Gear has aired on BBC2. 👍

I've just watched Extra Gear on the iplayer... I thought it was really good... In fact, it's much better than the main show. Previously..

Was that the best they could do; rehash all the segments of the CMH show, and make smartarse remarks about it too?

I was hoping for better, new presenters, new format, new ideas.

CE is too over the top (look at me!), MLB is way too deadpan/deadbeat.

Didn't bother with Extra Gear.

What a shame, they had a real opportunity to make a show about cars..... .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember
