United Kingdom 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Carpathian Grey
New 3.0 SC Engine.

What the benefits of this engine ?,seems strange to me not much faster than the normal 3.0 and no better than the sdv8 so whats the point?

My guess is that it is mainly a reaction to the growing hostility to diesel, especially for urban use. Legislators are under pressure to improve air quality and buyers may be concerned about that and about filter clogging and not need/want 500 + bhp. Only Range Rovers since 1988

I don't like diesels but the amount of time one spends in petrol stations with a 5.0 is offensive.

I think you're right.

I always wondered whether that engine was a good fit. It's been here since the L405 debuted.

That could be a reason, cause here in the fatherland the minister of transport is thinking to forbid Diesel cars in the towns.... Neutral due to EU fines for bad air. All my spelling errorz are belong to me!

The benefit is for JLR , it will be cheaper to make than the N/A 5.0 V8 it replaces . 2008 MY Supercharged
