I would be using a finer filter than that if it was attached to a £1000 washer.

I have not researched the market, but Game and Country Enterprises (01750 725225) 2015 catalogue offers second hand 1000 litre tanks at £50 & VAT plus carriage "special rates apply". They also do drums intended for feed/grain storage which take 75kg, these are large plastic containers at £9.50 & VAT plus carriage which would hold a reasonable amount of water, I have seen these used as rainwater butts, maybe several could be used together. Only Range Rovers since 1988

I bought a manager's special at Makro in 2001 and it refuses point blank to stop working... I think I paid £30 for it as it didn't have any nuts to hold the wheels on... Rolling Eyes

I'd like to have a play with a £1000 jet wash though..... I think if I could afford that I'd have a little man to come and clean my FF... Thumbs Up Pete

Well worth it Pete. I use mine for loads of stuff, Just something like cleaning the drive takes about 30 minutes with mine. When it broke I borrowed nextdoor's Karcher and the same job took 3 bloody hours. Oh, and I've had it 12 years with 1 repair in that time.

And using the steam function (diesel fired) gets grease and grime off in no time.

One of these. http://www.briannixonltd.com/product/single-phase-sitemaster-5hp/

I've got a couple of old medium sized jet washers, and a big old karcher hot washer. The trouble is with using rainwater, is you don't really have the best pressure, at the end of the lance! Because tap water, has a pressure, that a typical butt, or tank, doesn't.
So, if you have an old small pressure washer, chop off the gun, and plumb it into your decent ones inlet. use it to 'suck' the rainwater, and pre pressurise, the inlet, to the jet washer you are using. This will use a small amount more juice, but will get the job done faster. (More pressure at the lance. )

LOL, you wouldn't stand in front of mine even with measly water butt pressure Laughing
