Low tickover?

Tickover on my 4.4 petrol has always been 750rpm. Everything seems to be ok but last few days tickover has dropped to 600rpm. This is when warmed up. Had new alternator and battery in July this year.
Any ideas? Not Galway but Balmoral green actually

It will do that if the aircon is switched off. That's normal AFAIK.

With aircon ON, it rises to c.750 RPM.

Thumbs Up

My tip, NEVER switch the aircon off... works great all year round and keeps the oil in the system well distributed and the seals soft, helps prevent gas escaping and generally does the system a lot of good...

Use it or lose it.... Thumbs Up Pete

I tend to keep it on all year round for the reasons you give but occasionly turn it off, along with the radio, to listen to the car. Never noticed the revs drop before. Aircon on and revs back to 750. Thumbs Up Not Galway but Balmoral green actually
